July 9, 2018 is the 100th anniversary of the Katherine Stinson first Airmail flight from Calgary to Edmonton. To mark the anniversary, a celebration will be held in conjunction with WestJet airlines to commemorate the event. Come to the Domestic terminal (A gates). An exhibit will be setup by Westjet ticketing counters starting at 630AM. This exhibit will be moved to the departures area by Gate 1 (Encore gates) at 930AM where activities are expected to take place between 930 and 10AM. The flight to Edmonton departs at 1215 on Encore flight #3143. Passengers on the flight will receive a specially prepared flight cover. Further details will be posted to the website shortly.
