For members and non-members wishing to dispose of stamps or stamp collections, there are several avenues which you can pursue. However, it is recommended that you first review two articles for "Estate Planning and Advice for the Disposition of Collections" outlined on the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada's website at www.rpsc.org/estateplanning.htm. The Calgary Philatelic Society can provide advice and can also sell your stamps and collections at its monthly auctions. Higher valued material may best be dealt with through large retail philatelic auction houses and accredited philatelic stamp and postal history dealers.
The Calgary Philatelic Society also accepts donations of stamps, stamp collections and postal history items as well as cash donations. These donations can be directed to support such activities as our Juniors Club, our philatelic library, the bursary program for our exhibitors and to general club operations such as the rental of our club's facilities. Cash donations can be made by cheque (made out to "CPS") or with a credit card, as indicated below.
Donate to the Calgary Philatelic Society online! Donate any whole-dollar amount you wish. All you need is a credit card or a Paypal account.
